Your Local Support Team

A personal, community-based organization committed to improving independence and quality of life

MCCS Team - Our family supporting local families

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

We're your Lincoln neighbors—part of the same community you call home. We live and work in surrounding areas and want to see our communities thrive. When you work with us, you're working with people who genuinely understand and care about local families.

Every child has different strengths. We design our support around what matters most to each family—building skills that fit the child's world, not ours. Through trauma-informed care and genuine partnership, families know their children best, and we support growth in ways that feel natural and celebrate who they are.

Real Skills for Real Life

Quality in-home and community skills training tailored to each child's unique needs

Support for Children & Families

Section 28 services are covered by MaineCare for children under 21 who need help building life skills affected by developmental or behavioral challenges. These services focus on behavior support, social development, and learning age-appropriate skills that help children grow more independent.

🏠

Daily Living Skills

Children build confidence in everyday activities—from getting dressed to preparing meals. Our BHPs make learning fun in a safe environment where children feel proud of their progress.

Social & Communication Skills

Children learn to express feelings, navigate friendships, and communicate in ways that work for them. We create safe spaces to practice and grow socially.

Community Integration

Real-world practice in community settings like shopping, library visits, and social activities. We help children gain confidence navigating everyday situations.

Safety & Self-Care

Teaching awareness of personal safety, recognizing safe situations and people, and developing essential self-care routines that build independence.

📋

Individualized Support

We shape our support around each child's unique personality, interests, and goals—making sure they feel seen, heard, and understood. Family insights guide our approach.

Therapy & Assessment Services

As we've grown, so has our ability to support our community. Our clinical services offer therapy for adults and comprehensive assessments for children and families—helping you get the clarity and support you need, all from the team you already trust.

💬

A Space to Be Heard

Life gets complicated. Our therapy services offer a supportive space for adults to work through stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or whatever feels heavy right now. You'll partner with a licensed clinician who listens without judgment and helps you build practical strategies for moving forward. Sessions fit your schedule, with in-person and telehealth options available.

We currently serve adults, with children's therapy and group sessions coming soon.

Clarity When You Need Answers

Understanding yourself or your child starts with the right information. Our comprehensive evaluations help determine whether specific challenges have a name—and more importantly, what to do next. Through clinical interviews, observation, and trusted assessment tools, we build a complete picture of strengths, challenges, and needs. You'll leave with clear findings and practical recommendations, whether that's therapy, school accommodations, or simply peace of mind.

📊

Understanding Everyday Life

How does your child handle daily routines, social situations, and communication? Our functional assessments measure adaptive skills across the areas that matter most—giving families, schools, and care teams a clearer picture of where someone shines and where extra support would help. These assessments are valuable for treatment planning, educational accommodations, and tracking growth over time.
